Hello, friends.
After publishing last night's piece, I have a question I'd love to ask you.
What is your story?
You see, I’ve written this newsletter, in different forms, for years now. It has been a radical act in creative unfolding in the moment. There are plenty of pieces I’ve published that I wouldn’t write now.
That’s growth.
And, as I believe is true for any writer trying to create meaning, I’ve been also figuring out who I am becoming: before I publish a memoir; promoting it; during the midst of COVID lockdowns; learning to prioritize joy; diving into neuroscience; writing about kindness.
And through all of it, I've learned how to create habits that allow me to become kinder to myself. And be more focused and clear.
That’s why this newsletter is now turning toward my understanding and use of brain science that show us how to make habits that stick, in order to learn how to believe in ourselves and ourselves in community.
This is what I’ve been winnowing down toward all this time.
Now, it's your turn.
